Description
This cleverly designed directory takes students through the steps of constructing a piece of non-fiction text. Six different types of non-fiction texts are identified: Explanation Texts, Reports, Discussion Texts, Persuasive Texts, Recounts and Instructional Texts. Students are guided through the various stages from planning, to writing, to editing. Each text type is themed (e.g. Should schools have uniforms) and examples of writing structure and language features relating to that theme are given. Different types of graphic organisers are explained and instructions on how to choose the most suitable are given. Ideal for pupils aged 7 and up, this hardback, spiral-bound directory contains 18 pages (160 x 220 mm).
